OTTO Pizzeria e Enoteca is excited to present its very first winemaker dinner. For nearly 20 years, OTTO has introduced guests to the best of Italy, from the classics of Barolo & Chianti Classico to the wines of discovery like Verdeca & Refosco. For this first ticketed dinner, we are pleased to welcome two of Italy’s rising star producers: Leopoldo Felici & Stefano Amerighi.
At this event, we will highlight the regions of the Le Marche & Toscana. Leopoldo’s family has been farming the hills of Castello dei Jesi for many years, but in 2003 they decided to show the world their passion and dedication to the region with their Verdicchio. The wines are organically farmed and are some of the most unique and expressive that have ever been produced.
In 2002, Stefano Amerighi scoured the hills of Tuscany to plant his love: Syrah. On the clay, silt and chalk slopes of Cortona, he found his home and Stefano Amerighi was born. Devoted to a biodynamic practice, Stefano is a staunch beliver in wines of place and that Cortona is the BEST place in Italy for Syrah.
Leopoldo & Stefano have been generous to open their cellars for this event and highlight the beauty, terroir & age ability of their wines. Chef Dan Drohan has created a menu to pair with these amazing wines that will highlight the beauty of each unique varietal.
